Your professional association expects you to have a nominated supervisor and a set amount of supervision every year — more in your first four years in practice — and it can audit you on it. That’s a good rule. Client work changes the person doing it, and a brain under steady load narrows its focus — it gets better at the familiar and quieter about the unusual. A group that knows your work notices what you’ve stopped noticing.
Every session you attend is recorded against your account: the date, who supervised, how long it ran and whether you were there. You can see the full record whenever you like and download it for an audit, so the evidence is never something you have to piece together afterwards.
Your supervisors.
Claire, Dawn and Benn are each accredited supervisors and lecture on the same practitioner course you trained on, at four schools across Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Norfolk. You choose one as your nominated supervisor, and you can join another’s group when a month calls for a different perspective — Claire brings 30 years of NHS pharmacy and a medical eye; Dawn, burnout and high-functioning anxiety.

The small print
Your allowance is three sessions per calendar month and doesn’t carry over. Cancel a place before the session and it goes back into that month. Cancel the subscription at any time from your supervision page; your sessions run to the end of the month you’ve paid for. Supervision is a separate account from the 3D Life app.
